About T'ai Chi Chih@Foothills

Come practice T'ai Chi Chih (Joy Through Movement!)
This drop-in group meets in-person, and on zoom. Practices are open to all, with students and teachers learning and practicing at a variety of levels.

We will be both in-person and online on Zoom weekly on Monday Mornings: 8:30 PT/9:30 MT/10:30 CT/11:30 ET.  https://zoom.us/j/91317915664 / Meeting ID: 913 1791 5664

T’ai Chi Chih® is an easy-to-learn, joyful mindfulness practice, or moving meditation, with 19 movements and one pose.  T’ai Chi Chih activates, balances and circulates the natural energy, or “Chi,” of the body.  Great health benefits for the mind, body, and spirit come from regular practice. It is not an exercise,  religious practice, or martial art; it is totally non-violent.

The physical and mental health benefits students see depend on regular refinement and meditative practice. Many T'ai Chi Chih practitioners feel that by practicing this simple, healthy, and life-changing discipline, we bring healing and contribute positive energy not just into our own lives, but into the greater community and the world.  We invite you to join us in that endeavor.

Come early to settle in and chat while we setup. Class starts at 9:30; slip in if you arrive late, and take a moment to settle in. (Due to church security, doors will be locked at 9:45. Please arrive before then.)

This class is a community service by the instructors and the church, but people not affiliated with the church are very welcome. For those not involved in Foothills, we suggest charitable donations for Foothills' Share the Plate program. This program directly supports organizations who are also seeking to unleash courageous love in Northern Colorado. Past recipients include Disabled Resource Services, Homeward Alliance, Immigrant Freedom Fund, Alliance for Suicide Prevention, and Food Bank for Larimer County.

TO DONATE: Go to foothillsuu.org/donate. Donations aren't required, only suggested for those who don't already contribute to Foothills.

If you cannot make these classes currently, you can also learn online at amytcc.com, in person at the Senior Center with Marie Dotts or various classes from a wide variety of instructors in the area (click for the Northern Colorado class list). See taichichih.org/teacher/lisa-stroyan for more information about Lisa and potential other classes. More open zoom practices for those who know the practice are available at https://tcccommunity.net/resources-1  Online resources include instruction on amytcc.com and Amy Tyksinki's Youtube channel.
