Reps for the Long Haul (Rev. Sean)

 • Series: Reps for the Long Haul

In a world that feels like it’s spinning out of control—with endless news alerts, anxiety-inducing headlines, and a relentless pace of life—it’s easy to get stuck reacting to the storm instead of charting a course through it. But true resistance, the kind that sustains us for the long haul, requires more than just outrage or vigilance. It requires practice. Through stories of grocery store chaos, kindergarten eye rolls, and tiny plastic miniatures (painted badly), we’ll explore what it means to be beginners in the work of sustained resistance. We’ll draw wisdom from movement leaders, somatic teachers, and an unexpected lesson in photography to uncover how showing up, again and again, can transform not just our skills, but our hearts. Together, we’ll ask: What are we practicing? How do we metabolize fear into courage, despair into joy, and exhaustion into resilience? And how do we cultivate habits of the heart that help us not just resist domination and despair but create a world of mutual care and liberation?
