About Faith Family Hospitality

We offer hospitality to four families experiencing homelessness each week we host: a safe family room, hot meals and support. Become a volunteer for a hosting week!

In 2025, we'll host here at Foothills March 2nd- March 16th and October 5th - 19th.

Please join this group to be notified when volunteers are needed.  We require background checks. If you have a background check for another Foothills group, that is good for FFH as well.  If you need a background check, please email Jenn@FoothillsUU.org

We provide in-person training to new volunteers so that they are comfortable helping; we also have training videos, training support from FFH as well as Foothills coordinators on call.

FFH is an interfaith ministry to families experiencing homelessness in northern Colorado. FFH congregations provide overnight shelter, meals, and hospitality 365 days a year. The program is run by the organization Family Housing Network of Fort Collins.

FHN also offers case management, a family day center, and Sherwood House to provide additional transitional housing. Founded in 2012, there are currently 30+ member congregations in Fort Collins – 15 (including Foothills Unitarian Church) serve as host sites and 15 as partners.

Families arrive at the church by 5:00 pm and leave by 7:00 am the next day. During the day, families have access to the FHN Day Center at 1606 S. Lemay #103.

Tasks for volunteer slots are explained in the Sign Up Genius https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090449aeaa28a6fb6-faith and on the Foothills website (sign in and open Group Directory.)

Emails are sent directly from the site to those on our email list. If you’d like to add your family's name to the list or have questions contact: Jacqui Wallace at jacquiwallace2@gmail.com or Hilje Kuiper at  kuiperhilje@gmail.com
