Reforestation Pinecone Gathering

Date: September 9, 2025 Time: 9:00AM-1:00PM Update: meet at JJs corner 8:30 to carpool…! Meeting Location: Horsetooth Mountain Open Space (6550 W County Rd 38 E, Fort Collins, CO 80526). Please carpool as you can ! What you need to bring: Thick pants (think Carhart-style) and sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots are required! Also bring sunscreen, layers for the weather, hat, plenty of drinking water, snacks, and a lunch. CPRW will provide: Extra gloves, tools, hard hats, other safety equipment and extra water Note: There will be an approximately 15 min. hike to the collection site. We will be collecting in some areas that are off trail. It is required that you have long pants and close-toed shoes. Ideally, please wear thicker pants (i.e. Carhart material) and boots.
