Samhain is a traditional Celtic festival marking the end of summer, the harvest season, and the beginning of the darker half of the year. It is celebrated around October 31st and November 1st and is considered by many to be the precursor to modern-day Halloween. Samhain is believed to be a liminal time when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds thins, allowing for interaction with ancestors and supernatural beings.
