This Sunday is our cherished annual Service of Remembrance, where we come together to honor loved ones who have passed by bringing their photos or objects into our sacred space as we build a shared altar. We are also grateful to be joined in conversation this Sunday with Foothills member Karen Wilken, who shares the story of a major personal loss and how she navigated the awkward “elephant in the room” with the people who loved her but weren’t sure what to say or do in the face of her fresh, intense grief.
